A listing of firearms Winchester used at New Haven
to test ammunition and conduct other procedures

Rifles, shotguns and handguns are noted along with machine guns and air rifles.  Winchester, Savage, Marlin, Colt, Smith & Wesson, Springfield, Mauser and Luger are just some of the well known names in the firearms business that were used by Winchester.

These makes are listed by serial number and date of use.  Many, if not most of those firearms will be marked "W.R.A.Co."; while others are listed as government property or, were sent to other companies such as Hercules or DuPont.  You may have one of these firearms in your collection and need this documentation.  You may also be searching for a serial numbered piece for your collection and do not realize it was destroyed in testing at New Haven.
